Cisco Nexus 2232TM-E Fabric Extender Bundle – 32-Port 10GBASE-T FEX

The Cisco Nexus 2232TM-E Fabric Extender (FEX) is a high-performance, enterprise-class 32-port 10GBASE-T Fabric Extender designed to extend the Cisco Nexus switching fabric into server racks. It provides 32 host-facing 100M/1G/10GBASE-T RJ-45 ports and 8 uplink 10 Gigabit Ethernet SFP+ fabric interfaces, delivering low-latency connectivity for virtualized data centers, private cloud, and enterprise server environments.

Unlike a standalone Ethernet switch, the Nexus 2232TM-E operates as a Fabric Extender (FEX) and is centrally managed by a compatible Cisco Nexus parent switch, simplifying deployment and reducing operational complexity. It supports Data Center Bridging (DCB) and Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) over Cat6a/Cat7 cabling up to 30 meters, enabling LAN and SAN traffic consolidation.
