The Cisco WS-X4712-SFP+E is a 12-port 10 Gigabit Ethernet SFP+ line card designed for the Cisco Catalyst 4500E Series chassis. It provides high-speed fiber connectivity for data-center, enterprise backbone, aggregation, and switch-to-switch applications. The module supports up to 12 × 10GBASE-R SFP+ ports and can also operate with 1G SFP (1000BASE-X) optics, allowing Gigabit-to-10-Gigabit migration on the same line card. SFP and SFP+ interfaces can be used simultaneously.
