The Cisco Catalyst C1000-16P-E-2G-L is a compact Layer 2 managed Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ switch designed for small and medium-sized businesses, branch offices, retail, education, and enterprise edge deployments. It features 16 Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ RJ-45 ports and 2 dedicated 1 Gigabit SFP uplink ports for fiber connectivity. The "-E" model includes an external power supply, making it suitable for deployments where an external power brick is preferred. The switch runs Cisco IOS LAN Lite, providing enterprise-class Layer 2 features including VLANs, QoS, security, and simple management through CLI, web UI, and SNMP. It supports a 120 W PoE budget, enabling power delivery to IP phones, wireless access points, IP cameras, and other IEEE 802.3af/at-compliant devices.
